PROMENADE WALK OF THE RAPSKI TANAC FOLKLORE ENSEMBLE
If you happen to be in town near the Hotel Istra around 21:00 and you suddenly hear music played by bagpipes, you should know that this is the sound of a traditional instrument called the mih inviting you to take a walk in the old town to the rhythm of Rapski Tanac (Rab Dance). This is an event that only takes place here on the island of Rab. Don’t miss local people dressed in traditional folk costumes, the sound of ancient bagpipes, and the cheerful voices of the dancers. Join in the promenade along the lanes of the old town of Rab and feel like a local for a while. Learn some simple steps of the dance and become part of the island's tradition.
